Overwatch Devs Detail Halloween 2020 Content Update

Activision Blizzard today detailed the Halloween Terror event in Overwatch which is meant to celebrate this year’s Halloween, i.e. commemorate the event with yet another swath of in-game goodies and cool Easter Eggs.

In terms of Legendary skins going for 3,000 in-game coins a piece, you will be able to buy give new offerings modeled after Dai-Tengu Hanzo, Karasu-Tengu Genji, Flying Dutchman Sigma, Werewolf Winston, and Shin-Ryeong D.Va.

Racking up nine wins within a single week will also net you a unique, time-limited skin, as is usual for this type of Overwatch events, particularly those that are more community-oriented than Esports-focused. The skins in question are Fantasma Sombra, Stone Brigitte, and Ragdoll Echo, in that order of weekly appearances.

So, the optimal thing to do will be to achieve at least nine wins during every single week of Halloween Terror. Special sprays and icons are how Activision Blizzard intends to incentivize shorter weekly achievements, which would be six and three weekly wins, respectively.

Finally, expect even more Arcade Game modes during the event, covering Junkenstein’s Revenge in three different iterations and time-limited Competitive Team Deathmatch experiences. The final date for obtaining the time-limited rewards is the 3rd of November, the developers confirmed.
