HP Completely Redesigns Omen Gaming Laptop Range For 2020

HP’s 2020 gaming laptops from the Omen family have a dramatically redesigned new look to flaunt around. Ironically, the new aesthetic is anything but dramatic, though that is, by itself, quite a testament to HP’s restraint. After all, we know how much gaming hardware manufacturers struggle with avoiding tropes such as excessive RGB lighting, overly aggressive edges, and the like.

On the contrary, the new HP Omen 2020 models offer a pretty incognito gateway into the world of gaming laptops. Because even though they pack a massive punch in terms of rendering prowess, all of that is contained within an minimalist, elegant gray casing lacking the aggressive reds of years past. And HP did not even sacrifice the RGB keyboard for that to happen, so these new 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch models can still be just as colorful when you want them to, but they also won’t needlessly stand out.

Which is something most users who actually take their notebooks places will be able to appreciate. One final thing to note is that this discreet gaming range offers AMD CPU configurations (with the Ryzen 7 4800H) for the first time in the history of Omen laptops. Pricing information and details on when exactly the new notebooks are planned to hit the market should follow in the coming weeks.
