What a revelation: Resident Evil Outrage may not be a new game

A Capcom insider claims that the recently leaked Resident Evil Outrage game is actually the Resident Evil Revelations 3 remake with an angrier-sounding title.

When is Resident Evil Outrage expected (or even just able) to release?

Twitter user Dusk Golem, who already shared some Resident Evil-related leaks in the past, claims that Resident Evil Revelations 3 is arriving, but that it’ll be named Resident Evil Outrage. He also claims that Outrage will be launched within a year of Resident Evil 8 (which releases in May 2021), and will be exclusive for the Nintendo Switch. Revelations is a spin-off series of the main entries, beginning in 2012 exclusivity for the Nintendo 3DS. Resident Evil Revelations 2 was launched in 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, while that time Nintendo Switch version had to wait a full two years until it was launched in 2017.

Resident Evil Outrage was one of the unannounced Capcom projects that had become publicly known due to a ransomware attack on the company late last year. Since Capcon refused to pay ransom to hackers, lots of information regarding Capcom franchises like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter were leaked online. Among them was also the info about Resident Evil Outrage.
